Project Self-Empowerment
Thanks for stopping by! January is Self-Love Month. You can take the 31 Days of Self-Love Challenge—a pledge to do your best to do something loving for yourself for the first 31 days of 2012, to make YOU more aware of being kinder to YOU. Start the New Year right by showing yourself more love!
NYC EVENT: February 14th: Be Your Own Valentine
Every self-help book pushes building self-love, yet studies show it’s still elusive. With pressure to look and act perfect at an all time high, more people than ever don’t feel good enough to be loved. I want to change that dynamic!
Taking the pledge is meant to be a consciousness raiser. I hope that signing it will lead you to continue giving yourself lots of love. You can post your acts of self-love& read my 31 Days of Self-love posts HERE.
“I pledge to do my best to do something loving for myself, however big or small, for the next 31 days.“
To that end I chose to pass on a deal for my book, How Do I Love Me? Let Me Count the Ways, and give away for FREE. It has hundreds of concrete, practical suggestions for building self-love. Every little thing you do that feels good—from taking a short walk, to saying “no” to what you don’t want to do, to getting enough sleep, to buying the brand name lotion since it feels better, to taking a bubble bath to making time to read a book—says “I love me!”
After hating myself for many years, I developed strong self-love by consciously being kind to me. It helped me reinvent myself into a self-empowerment counselor, speaker and author of 12 popular books, including Nice Girls Can Finish First (McGraw-Hill).
Love yourself enough to give yourself the greatest gift of all–yourself--whole and happy on your own.
I’m not the thinnest girl on the block, nor the youngest or prettiest. but I do still love and accept me completely. I now understand that perfection isn’t reality. while I do my best to improve myself, my self-love doesn’t change if I gain or lose weight. Lovingly taking good care of me nourishes it.
Please consider signing the pledge and committing to do your best to do something loving for yourself for the next 31 days. You can post what you do HERE.
I wish you a lifetime of love and blessings!
